Jordan Curley is a founder and partner at Bright Light Strategies. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area and now based in Sacramento, Jordan has worked at all levels of government and campaigns across California, since 2004. As an advocate, strategist and communications specialist, Jordan brings her extensive work in government, political campaigns, public affairs, media, policy and advocacy to Bright Light Strategies.

Throughout her career Jordan has toggled between her two great loves - politics and policy. Shestarted as an intern at San Francisco City Hall and eventually moved up to Sacramento to serve in both houses of the State Legislature. She started as a legislative aide and then moved on to serve as a Senior Policy Advisor, Communications Director as well as a Chief of Staff in both the California State Senate and Assembly. In those roles Jordan worked with an exhaustive list of stakeholders to assist in drafting and passing landmark legislation focusing on mental health, privacy, utilities and energy, elections issues, environment, women's issues, labor, equality, business and professional issues as well as local government. Jordan has since taken her deep relationships within the legislative community to drive her work in advocating for her clients.

Jordan found her passion for political campaigns as a local campaign volunteer for President Clinton while still in high school. Since then she has worked in every imaginable role in campaigns from volunteer to organizer to spokesperson to director to manager to consultant. Jordan has worked on countless issue, candidate, local and state initiative campaigns, including some of California’s most recent notable statewide ballot measures; No on Prop 32 which would have limited worker protections, Prop 64 which legalized marijuana in California, No on Prop 5 which would have cut funding to our local public schools and made home ownership even less attainable, as well as Prop 55 which ensures the wealthiest pay their fair share. Most recently, in 2022 Jordan helped to usher through Proposition 1 which enshrined every Californian’s right to abortion and contraceptives into the California State Constitution.

When not at her desk working for her clients, it’s likely you’ll find Jordan in a ballpark or arena rooting for her favorite bay area sports teams.
