Carli Stelzer
Carli is an associate at Bright Light Strategies. She previously worked at the California Medical Association in their Government Relations department, following running the Yes on Proposition 1 campaign as the Deputy Campaign Manager. Carli graduated summa cum laude from UC Berkeley’s Master in Public Health program in the summer of 2022. She chose to pursue her Masters, where her studies concentrated on health policy and management, after working as a Certified Nursing Assistant serving low-income communities for more than two years. Since joining Bright Light Strategies, she has enjoyed working on everything from statewide initiatives to local county food programs and always looks forward to taking on new projects and challenges.
Carli was born and raised in Stockton, California. She entered the political world there, working on her first campaign in her senior year of high school with Michael Tubbs for Mayor 2016. She is a long-time supporter of increased access to health care, defender of reproductive justice, and advocate for equity.
Carli lives in Sacramento, California, with her partner, Lindsey, and their cat, Squeak. She loves cooking, gardening, and exploring California’s beautiful campgrounds.
